Description
Solicitation Number: AFCEA 2014 C4I Technology Review Days AFCEA, Erie Canal Chapter, SUNY-IT and Cyber NY Alliance are sponsoring a 2014 Command, Control, Communications, Cyber and Intelligence (C4I) Technology Review with participation from Air Force Research Laboratory and the Information Institute. The Review days will explore challenges and research opportunities in information systems and technology for Air Force and DOD applications. The Review Days are being held at the Radisson Hotel and Conference Center in Utica, NY on June 10 and 11, 2014. Each day has a plenary session that provides attendees the opportunity to hear several addresses by senior Air Force leaders and Air Force Research Laboratory senior staff on future challenges and research opportunities in C4I technologies. There will be plenary sessions in the morning and technical sessions, led by senior experts from Academia, Industry, and Government in the afternoon. The keynote speaker for Tuesday, 10 June is: Maj. Gen. Thomas J. "Tom" Masiello, Commander, Air Force Research Laboratory. Afternoons, attendees will have the opportunity to participate in parallel technical sessions in mini-workshop format on "hard problems" that include: Technology Transfer, Nanotechnology, Secure Cloud Computing, Software Defined RF and Spectrum Sharing, Large Teams and Autonomous Systems, Neuromorphic Computing, Cyber Resilience/Mission Assurance, and Ultra Portable Secure Information Management Technologies. The workshop session will enable technical dialog between contractor representatives, government representatives and academics from Information Institute members and other institutions and the staff of Air Force Research Laboratory, with the goal of identifying promising collaborations and approaches to address hard problems in information technology. Demonstrations and tabletop displays are invited on emerging technology and recent developments ready for tech transfer or transition. Attendees must be US Citizens or Permanent Resident Aliens. Proof of status is required for registration. Two forms of identification are required including either a birth certificate or passport, and another picture ID such as a driver's license. Clearances are not required and all discussions will be unclassified. Note: This is NOT a "bidder's conference" and this announcement is NOT associated with any contract, request for proposal, a promise to contract, or a commitment of any kind. The Government will NOT assume liability for costs incurred by an offeror for presentations, marketing efforts or data offered for examination; therefore the cost of preparing information in response to this notice is not considered an allowable direct charge to the Government. Registration for 2014 C4I Technology Review Days can be made on-line starting 1 March 2014.
