Description

Sources Sought Notice for notice of intent to award a sole source contract. This is not a solicitation. The Department of Veterans Affairs Boston intends to negotiate and award a contract to procure a Buffy Coat Aliquot Workstation for aliquoting human blood fractions with extended warranty, hardware and software maintenance and support from Tecan U.S., Inc., 9401 Globe Center Drive, Morrisville, NC 27560-2622 to be integrated with the same equipment previously purchased to support reproducibility of research results for a high throughput large scale genomics study. The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, installation, training and maintenance for the Automated Blood Aliquoting System. The solicitation will be released on a sole source basis to Tecan U.S., Inc., the only known source of this robotic Automated Liquid Handling processing system, part number us4525-SPS for aliquoting human blood fractions. The applicable NAICS code is 334516. The FSC/PSC is 6640. The authority for this action is FAR 6.302.1-1 Only One Responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. No solicitation will be posted to this site. A decision not to compete this requirement is based upon this notice and the Justification and Approval (J&A) to be posted to this site.
