- Description
- The USDA National Animal Disease Center in Ames, IA, intends to award a procurement of the Cilas ExpertShape Image Analysis System, the Cilas 1180/1190 Upgrade to Windows 7 and service support from CPS US, Inc. This procurement of laboratory support equipment will be conducted in accordance with the procedures in FAR Part 13.106 and 6.303-2. The purchase determination is based on the need for purchase of the laboratory equipment and software upgrade for a proprietary piece of equipment that is only functional with product from the same source. No alternative equipment or source for this equipment has been located. The cost has been determined fair and reasonable based on current technical knowledge of fair market value. The anticipated purchase order value is $27,900.00. This is not a request for quotation. However, all interested parties may contact the Contract Specialist listed below. Sources interested in responding to this requirement must be able to provide compelling evidence that they can obtain/provide the required equipment, software and support. Responses must be submitted electronically, via email, to lara.j.hicok@aphis.usda.gov. The deadline for the submittal of responses is 12:00 pm central time, April 7, 2014.
