- This is a synopsis for the acquisition of commercial items using simplified acquisition procedures under the test program for commercial items found at FAR 13.5. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. The Fleet Logistics Center Jacksonville, Florida intends to solicit for Belleville Brown Leather Flight Boots Model 330 ST (various sizes) as required by Chief of Naval Training at NAS Pensacola, Florida. The resulting contract will be a firm fixed price requirements type contract with delivery order provisions. It will include a base period and two one-year option periods. Base year is from 01 October 2014 through 30 September 2015. The requirement is for 2,000 boots per year. This requirement is a total small business set aside identified under NAICS Code 316210 with the small business size standard of 500 employees. The complete statement of work will be provided in the Request for Proposal (RFP). The anticipated release date of the RFP is on or about 18 April 2014 and will close 30 days thereafter. The RFP will be made available electronically at the Federal Business Opportunities (www.fedbizopps.gov) and the Navy Electronic Commerce Online (www.neco.navy.mil) web sites. It is the responsibility of the interested parties to independently review the referenced websites frequently for updates. No paper copies of these documents will be issued. Offerors must be registered and active in the System for Award Management (SAM) database to be considered for award.
