- The Department of Housing and Urban Development, Office of the Chief Procurement Officer is requesting information related to vendors capable of providing mixed fare media for HUD Region 1 Transit Subsidy Program. One vendor will be required to provide vouchers as well as prepaid credit cards for the eight plus transit vendors that span the Boston, Hartford, and Providence areas. Those transit vendors are: MBTA (Massachusetts Bay Transit Authority), RIPTA (Rhode Island Public Transit), various van pools (only vouchers accepted), AMTRAK, Connecticut Transit, Rideshare, Collins Bus Services (accepts vouchers), Kelley Transit (accepts vouchers). THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTATION, BIDS, OR PROPOSALS. THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGH NOTICE ONLY to conduct market research and obtain data for planning and informational purposes only. This notice shall not be construed as a commitment by HUD to ultimately award a contract, nor does it restrict HUD to a particular acquisition approach. All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary; HUD will not pay for information request nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information for this sources sought. All vendors are requested to respond to the requirement by submitting a capability statement related to the vendor's ability to provide the required services. The response is due via email at the address listed below and is due no later than COB April 4, 2014. The capability statement should also contain company POC information, and business size particular to NAICS 485111 - Mixed Mode Transit Systems.
