AG-0398-S-14-0004 Project Title: Gallatin National Forest - Sixmile Bridge Construction Description of Work: This project consists of replacing a 25-foot wood bridge with a 50-foot, salvaged wood bridge along with the associated site work. The work will involve replacing worn portions of the bridge with new (Government provided) treated timbers. The successful Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, transportation, supplies, and incidentals necessary to complete the work. Project Location: The project is located on the Gallatin National Forest, Yellowstone Ranger District, in Park County, Montana. The site is situated approximately 12 miles north of Gardiner, MT along Sixmile Road #348 and is roughly 0.8 miles from the junction with Dailey Lake Road. The project area is located in T6S, R7E. Price Range: Between $25,000 and $100,000. A Firm-Fixed Price contract is expected to result from this solicitation. Pre-bid Tour: No pre-bid tour will be conducted. Interested parties may contact Grant Morrison at the Supervisor's Office of the Gallatin National Forest, at 406-587-6724, with questions or for directions to view the project site on their own. Contractors are urged to inspect the site where the work will be performed. Interested parties shall take reasonable steps to ascertain the nature and location of the project area and the work to be completed, as well as the general and local site conditions which can affect the work and cost of performance. Failure to take the actions described in this paragraph will not relieve the Contractor from the responsibility of properly estimating the difficulty and cost to successfully perform the work, or from successful completion of the work without additional expense to the Government. The solicitation will be available on approximately 15 April 2014 and can be downloaded from this website at that time.
