CLASSIFICATION CODE: Q - Medical Services; (Q523 - Surgery) NAICS CODE: 621 - Ambulatory Health Care Services; 621111 - Offices of Physicians (except Mental Health Specialists) Network-9 Contracting Office on the behalf of the Robley Rex VA Medical Center has developed this Request for Information (RFI)/Sources Sought Notice to solicit market research information from the healthcare industry to assist the Government with analysis of a Government requirement and provide commercial insight on performance-based solutions, best practices, possible contractual arrangements, and potential issues. THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION ONLY. It is not a Request for Proposal, a Request for Quotation, an Invitation for Bids, a Solicitation, or an indication that Network-9 Contracting Office (NCO-9) will contract for the items contained in the RFI / Sources Sought Notice. This RFI/Sources Sought Notice is part of a Government market research effort to determine the scope of industry capabilities and interest, in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 15.201(e), response to this RFI / Sources Sought Notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Responses to this RFI / Sources Sought Notice are strictly voluntary and are consider as information only. The Government will not pay respondents for information provided in response to this RFI / Sources Sought Notice. Responses to this RFI / Sources Sought Notice will not be returned and respondents will not be notified of the result of the review. If a solicitation is issued, it will be announced on the Federal Business Opportunities Website http://www.fbo.gov at a later date, and all interested parties must respond to that solicitation announcement separately from any response to this announcement. This RFI / Sources Sought Notice does not restrict the Government's acquisition on a future solicitation. Network-9 Contracting Office (NCO-9) and Robley Rex VA Medical Center is conducting market research for a Contractor(s) to provide neurosurgery and spine surgery services for beneficiaries of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and the Robley Rex VA Medical Center, Department of Surgery, 800 Zorn Avenue, Louisville, Kentucky 40206. We have develop three (3) separate statement of objectives to determine the interest in the various contract structures outline below, please provide your recommendations based on best practices and your firms capabilities to provide neurosurgery and spine surgery services: 1)Contractor to provide board certified or board eligible neurosurgeons to perform all cranial procedures, including but not limited to tumors, intracranial bleeds, subdural hematomas, aneurysms, AV malformations, VP shunts ¦ Contractor is to provide 24-hour per day, 7-days per week on call / consultations service for the Robley Rex VA Medical Center. Outpatient clinic services, i.e. initial evaluations, clinical treatment management, follow-up care, will be provided at Contractor's location. Outpatient and inpatient surgical procedures will be performed by Contractor at a local hospital. OR 2)Contractor to provide board certified or board eligible neuro or orthopedic trained, surgeons to provide spine surgical services, including but not limited to a range of simple discectomy to complex reconstruction procedures including instrumentation. Contractor to provide 24-hour per day, 7-day per week on call / consultations service for the Robley Rex VA Medical Center. Contractor to provide weekly outpatient clinic services, i.e. initial evaluations, clinical treatment management, follow-up care, on site at the Robley Rex VA Medical Center. Contractor to perform surgical procedures, i.e. pre- and post-operative services, daily inpatient rounding, at the Robley Rex VA Medical Center. OR 3)Contractor to provide board certified or board eligible surgeons, trained in both Neurosurgery and spine reconstructive procedures, to provide the entire gamut of surgical services for Neurosurgery and Spine patients. Contractor is to provide 24-hour per day, 7-days per week on call / consultations service for the Robley Rex VA Medical Center. Contractor to provide weekly outpatient clinic services, i.e. initial evaluations, clinical treatment management, follow-up care, on site at the Robley Rex VA Medical Center. Contractor to perform surgical procedures, i.e. pre- and post-operative services, daily inpatient rounding, at the Robley Rex VA Medical Center, except for cranial procedures. Contractor will perform cranial procedures, including but not limited to tumors, intracranial bleeds, subdural hematomas, aneurysms, AV malformations, VP shunts at a local hospital.
