Description

The Northern Regional Contracting Office, Womack Army Medical Center, Fort Bragg, NC 28310, intends to solicit, negotiate and award a sole source contract using other than full and open competition procedures to Alere Informatics, Inc, 2000 Holiday Dr Ste 500, Charlottesville, VA, 22901-3601. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The resulting award will be made on SF 1449, for commercial supplies. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.501 (a). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. All responses must be received by 21 April, 2014. This is solicitation number W91YTZ-14-T-0031 and is a request for proposal (RFP). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-72. The Standard Industrial Classification Code is 7373, size standard is 25.5 M and the NAICS code of 541512. Womack Army Medical Center Fort Bragg North Carolina 28310 has a requirement for a RALS-PLUS Data Management System (RALS License for Glucometers and RALS License for iSTATs). This requirement is for a contract for a base year to begin on or about 3 May, 2014 with four (4) one-year option years.
