Description

Under Statutory Authority § 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1) the VA Great Lakes Acquisition Center (GLAC) intends to negotiate a sole source contract with the Wisconsin Institutes for Medical Research (WIMR) at the University of Wisconsin - Madison to provide MRI scans to be used for research at the William S. Middleton VA Hospital, Madison, Wisconsin. The scans must be provided on a 3-Tesla MRI scanner housed in a facility located in the Madison area, available between the hours of 8:00am through 5:00pm. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The contract will be firm fixed price and the NAICS Code is 621512. The period of performance is one year with two option years to be exercised at the Government's discretion. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive proposals. No solicitation documents are available and telephone requests will not be honored. However, if a firm believes it can meet the requirements it must furnish information about its products and services, as well as references from other customers who are using these products and service to the Contracting Officer by 2:00PM (CST) April 4, 2014. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements. Responses received will be evaluated however; a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the GLAC will proceed with the sole source negotiation with the WIMR. Capability statements shall be submitted by email only as a MS Word or Adobe PDF attachment to Arleen Reid at Arleen.Reid@va.gov. TELEPHONIC INQUIRIES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
