- Description
- The Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Federal Protective Service (FPS), East Consolidated Contracts Group intends to procure armed protective service officer services for the following locations: (1) 2070 Chain Bridge Road, Vienna, VA VA0382 (2) 5205 Leesburg Pike, Falls Church, VA VA1551 (3) 5107 Leesburg Pike, Falls Church, VA VA0301 (4)1953 Gallows Road, Vienna, VA VA0316 As an integral part of this security effort, the contractor shall provide and maintain all management, supervision, manpower, training, equipment, supplies, licenses, permits, certificates, insurance, pre-employment screenings, reports, and files necessary to accomplish the requirement. The issuance of the Request for Proposal (RFP) will result in a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract and will be issued under the authority listed in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 12, Commercial Items, as a small business set aside. Total guard hours are estimated at approximately 83,300 hours per year. The periods of performance are as follows: Base Year October 1, 2014 - September 30, 2015 Option Year I October 1, 2015 - September 30, 2016 Option Year II October 1, 2016 - September 30, 2017 Option Year III October 1, 2017 - September 30, 2018 Option Year IV October 1, 2018 - September 30, 2019 FAR 52.217-8 October 1, 2019 - March 31, 2020 The RFP shall require offerors to submit a technical proposal, as well as a price proposal. The technical proposal will be considered significantly more important than the price proposal. NOTE: Contractor must possessa secret facility clearance prior to the submission of proposal. It is anticipated that the subject RFP will be issued on the FedBizOpps (FBO) website on or before April 30, 2014. It is the contractor's responsibility to monitor the website for the issuance of the RFP, as well as any amendments. All contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) https://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM/.
