- The U.S. Army Contracting Command (ACC), Picatinny Arsenal, NJ, on behalf of the Armament Research, Development and Engineering Center (RDECOM-ARDEC) is seeking sources capable of the manufacture, design, and delivery of Injection Plastic Molds, as well as having the capability to perform a low production run of molded plastic assemblies. The complex assemblies include plastic injected molded parts with steel inserts. Color matching of the completed assemblies is required. Interested sources must have experience molding using impact grade ABS. The largest component of this assembly is 11 quote mark round, and 3 quote mark inches deep. Several smaller intricate plastic molded parts make up the assembly. Manufacturing of the molded assemblies, as well as production of the injection molded parts shall be performed in the USA. The completed plastic injected molded assemblies, as well as the completed molds shall be delivered to the government within a short time requirement. There are two drawings associated with the injection molded parts and they have been designated as distribution D, quote mark Militarily Critical Technical Data. quote mark Only businesses that have been certified by the Department of Defense, United States/Canada Joint Certification Office, and have a valid requirement may have a copy of the drawings. All requests for copies of the drawings must include a certified copy of DD Form 2345, Militarily Critical Technical Data Agreement (NDA) and an AMSTA AR Form 1350, Technical Data Request Questionnaire. To obtain certification, contact: Commander, Defense Logistics Information Service (DLIS), and ATTN: U.S./Canada Joint Certification Office, 74 Washington Avenue North, Battle Creek, MI 49017-3084 or call the DLIS at (800)-352-3572. Additionally, the drawings are also export-controlled documents. See the following attachments of the blank forms that interested sources need to complete and submit: Attachment 1-DD2345; Attachment-2 AMSTAAR1350 form; and Attachment 3-NDA. The NAICS code for this notice is 332721 and the small business size standard is 500 employees. All interested and potential firms should be registered and be current in the System for Award Management (SAM). Interested sources can register, or update their registration at https://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM/. Firms/companies are invited to indicate their interest and capabilities by providing specifications, brochures, manuals, reports, and any other information pertaining to this particular area of procurement. All information is to be submitted at no cost or obligation to the Government; information provided will not be returned. Responses shall also indicate the size of the business entity; large, or small and provide your DUNS or Cage Code.
