Description
*** 26 March 2014 *** There were a few questions pertaining to the purchase description. The questions along with the engineer's response are listed below: Question: 3.3 Measurement Specifications: The Teraohmmeter shall meet or exceed the following Measurement Specifications. All commercial items shall also meet the specifications published by the manufacturer. Teraohmmeter 1 year measurement uncertainties and short term stabilities shall include reference resistor uncertainties and dielectric effects. In order to include uncertainties related to the reference resistor, those uncertainties must be supplied by AFMETCAL. Response: The uncertainties should be the absolute uncertainties and include the reference resistors that they use to verify. Question: 3.6 Display: The Teraohmmeter shall have a digital display of at least 6 ½ digits to indicate the measured resistance, test voltage, and any significant information pertaining to the measurement or operation. Is AFMETCAL requesting 6.5 digits of resolution on the test voltage setting? Response: We want at least a 6 1/2 digit display and we want the meter to display voltage as well as resistance, but the 6 1/2 digits is really for the resistance. Question: 4.1 Cables: A minimum of 2 sets of laboratory grade cables shall accompany the Teraohmmeter. Both of these sets shall connect from the Teraohmmeter's input connectors to BPO connections. The first set shall terminate to Alligator Clips for general purpose use and the second set shall terminate in Type-N for use with High Value Resistance Standards. Construction of cables shall not degrade the uncertainty of the instrument. Please clarify. Is AFMETCAL requesting a total of 3 sets of cables? Or, is the request for the instrument to have BPO connections? Response: Should be three sets of cables, one set to Alligator, one set to Type-N and one set to BPO.
