Description
PRESOLICITATION NOTICE DAVIS DAM EQUIPMENT STORAGE BUILDING This is a pre-solicitation notice update for acquisition planning purposes. No formal solicitation for this work exists at this time, but a solicitation (R14PS00260) is being planned for release on or about April 25, 2014 at no cost. All small business qualified concerns may submit capability statements for consideration. Capability statements received will be reviewed to gain knowledge of interest, capabilities and qualifications of potential contractors to meet the needs of the Government. This is not a request for proposals and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. Responses to this notice will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. All interested sources must respond to future solicitation announcements separately from responses to this request for information. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this notice. The Bureau of Reclamation, Lower Colorado Region has a requirement for the repair and rewind of six rotating exciter armatures. The armatures are crated and each is approximately 6' L x 6' W x 5' H. The approximate weight of each is 16,000 lbs. The contractor shall be responsible for shipping the armatures to their facility from the Hoover Dam warehouse, repairing and rewinding the armatures in accordance with attached EASA standards, and returning the armatures. The armatures are: 3 EA - GE Canada, 1880 Amp, 250 Volt, 180 RPM 1 EA - Allis Chalmers, 500 Amp, 250 Volt, 257.14 RPM 1 EA - GE, 1000 Amp, 250 Volt, 257.14 RPM 1 EA - Westinghouse, 1000 Amp, 250 Volt, 180 RPM Interested vendors are invited to submit capability packages describing the products/services they provide related to repairing and rewinding the armatures. Packages should include the following information: (1) Provide business name, address, business size and socio-economic type (8(a), HUBZone, Service Disabled Veteran, Small Business) and point of contact to include e-mail address and telephone number. (2) Submit capability information, such as similar projects performed, dollar value of similar projects, photographs, and customer contact information. (3) Submit product/service information, including pictures, sizes, estimated cost, and proposed delivery/installation times.
