- This is a notice of intent to award a sole source purchase order and is not a request for competitive proposals under the authority of 41.U.S.C. 253 (c)(1) as set forth in Federal Acquisition Regulation FAR 6.302-1-2(i)(B2). The government intends to enter into a firm fixed price award with Eee Holter Technology Corporation, Ltd., 10F-5, No 100, Sec 1, Jiafeng 11th Road, Zhubel City, Hsinchu Country, 30273, Taiwan and DUNS Number 657118472. The Department of Rehabilitation Medicine (RMD) resides within the Mark O. Hatfield Clinical Research Center, a state of the art, 250-bed biomedical research hospital located on the campus of the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, MD. The Functional & Applied Biomechanics Section (FAB) has a strong research interest in studying brain activation during movement. Currently FAB is responsible several protocols that use or plan to use electroencephalography (EEG) recording to study brain activation during motor tasks. The purpose of this award is to procure an EEG with the following specifications: a. 64 channel system b. Short application time c. Solution other then gel-type glue for attaching electrodes to scalp and maintaining good contact d. Active (versus passive) electrodes e. Wireless with viable software solutions for removing motion artifact f. Able to fit both adult and children head sizes g. Comfortable for wearers during setup, data collection and removal of electrodes The new EEG will reduce some of our current challenging in obtaining data on a wide range of subject ages and hair types, and improve subject burden. Small businesses are encouraged to respond to this notice if they are capable to meet the needs of this requirement. Written responses to this notice shall contain sufficient documentation to establish a bonafide capability and compatibility to fulfill the requirement. A complete statement of work is attached for reference. The intended procurement will be classified under North American Industry Classification System Code 541712 Research and Development in the Physical, Engineering, and Life Sciences (except Biotechnology )with a size standard of 500 employees. The Government shall consider all responses received prior to the close date of this announcement. All responses must be received no later than March 28, 2014 at 1:00PM, Eastern Standard Time.
