Description
Amendment Q: "With there be an opportunity for potential offers to conduct a site visit?" A: Yes, a site visit has been scheduled for Monday, March 31, 2014 at 9:00 - 10:00 am EST (this will be sharp as another requirement walkthrough is scheduled from 10:00 am). The location will be: Catawba Service Unit, 2893 Sturgis Road, Rock Hill, SC 29730-6607. Q: "Local vendor, did this mean an out of state vendor cannot apply?" A: No, any vendor may apply from any state with a proposal. Statement of work section IV requested a 2 hour response time to network failure and 24 hour on the leased equipment. Any prospective vendor should be able accommodate this request. (It may be unwise to be at great distance and fail the contract requirements but, it is really the vendor's choice.) Q: "In the SOW, Section V Standards/Delivery Terms. A T1 is specified for dial tone, this can be ether a PRI or 23 Sip Trunks. In either case 10 days is not enough time to install a new circuit. Your existing phone lines can be used temporarily until a new circuit is installed, but new circuits require at least 30 days. Please clarify this." A: The separate T1 is for the VOIP system to remain separate from the current data lines as there would be a lack of quality for both on the same system. This is to say, clearly, that a VOIP system is to be installed and not added to the data system. Q: "Drawings do not indicate the existing MDF. Can a room number be given for the MDF location?" A: Not all rooms are numbered on the drawings and to be clear we will be holding the site visit as stated in the first "Q & A." Q: "Please clarify the rack type: Floor mount or Wall mount?" A: Wall mount Q: "Are containment carts a requirement for this solicitation?" A: If a containment cart provides a method of containing any materials disturbed during the installation process, definitely. The area where cables are run contains dust, and unknown other particles and potential contaminants. Patients and staff would be exposed if any operations were performed during working hours. Q: "Will after hours and weekend access be allowed for this installation?" A: Accommodation for work will be scheduled (weekends) during negotiations with the prospective vendors. Yes, to weekends but we are still looking at evening solutions. Q: "Are the drops requested as "additional drops" QTY (1) Cat6 or QTY (2) Cat6 Cables?" A: There are some additional drops which we will identify at the site visit. Q: "How many total Cat6 Cables are going to be installed?" A: Twelve or less Q: "How many cables will need to be traced and removed from the existing conduit?" A: To be identified by the vendor Q: "Telephone systems retain caller information that is protected under HIPPA privacy requirements. At the end of the lease period or contract does the equipment become the property of the Government?" A: This is correct but only the memory containing items, modules, parts, i.e. a hard drive will have to be turned in at the end of the lease but the non-memory parts are yours (hence: lease) Q: "41 phones yet only 40 licenses are specified is this a typo?" A: Yes, 41 phones and 41 licenses will be required Q: "Are the six analog fax lines separate?" A: They are analog and you will need to fit the solution into your proposal Q: "Were there other questions that have not been addressed here?" A: Yes, if you are submitting a proposal it would be best to attend the site visit for first-hand information. Please note that no changes or deviations from the statement of work will be entertained from the site visit i.e., if you propose something not in the SOW of the solicitation your proposal will be subject to dismissal for being incomplete.
