- REQUIREMENTS FOR INSTRUMENT TO PERFORM AUTOMATED IMMUNOCHEMICAL TESTING FOR FECAL OCCULT BLOOD PATHOLOGY AND LABORATORY MEDICINE SERVICE VAMC, WEST PALM BEACH, FL Purpose: This is for a Small Business FSS/NAC set aside. The purpose of this contract is to obtain an instrument on a "cost per test" contract inclusive of all reagents and expendable supplies necessary to perform automated testing for occult blood in stool specimens using immunochemistry technology. Contract period is for 4/1/14-3/31/15 with four option years. Usage is approximately 900 tests per month for 10000 tests per year. Statement of Work A.The following system features are required in the analyzer to perform Immunochemical Fecal Occult Blood testing (iFOBT): "It must be automated with the capacity to perform 80 tests per hour "It must be able to fit in the allocated space (15"x24"x20") "It must use immunochemistry technology "It must be FDA approved for one specimen per patient "It must be able to interface with Vista(VA's software system) "The vendor must be able to make available for purchase a preaddressed packing envelope with specimen collection device for patient to mail sample to the VA. B.Training "Contract to include any operator training required (on-site) C.Installation/Maintenance/Service "Instrumentation must be installed and performance validated by vendor prior to start of patient testing/contract period beginning "All service, repair and maintenance (other than user-performed maintenance) will be performed by the contractor with no additional expense to the government (VA). D.Performance Assessment "Contract performance will be assessed by instrument performance checks (initial accuracy, daily QC performance). Instrument must perform as expected 99% of the time.
