Description
The government intends to modified an existing contract, W91QV1-11-C-0016, using FAR Part 52.217-8 quote mark Option to Extend Services quote mark for a period not to exceed 6 months. Upon the completion of this period of performance, the government intends to issue a competitive Firm Fixed price contract to a small business to provide non-personal services necessary to deliver and install infant size 54 in X 22 3/4 in X 23, standard size 86 in X 30 in X 24in each and Large 90 in X 32 in X 26 in each reinforced concrete grave liners for funeral caskets per manufacturing specifications and to provide additional support in removing existing grave liners and minor vault to support the cemeteries annual operations specifically corresponds with disinterment requirements. Grave liners shall be constructed from reinforced concrete Portland cement. Cement shall be of commercial quality, using steel and/or polypropylene reinforcement which is compliant with the ASTM C897 Standard Specification for Aggregate for Job-Mixed Portland Cement - based Plasters specification standard and all applicable Federal and State of the Commonwealth of Virginia rules and regulations. The grave liners shall be designed and constructed to structurally withstanding passage of an axle load of 5.0 metric tons (11,000 pounds) after burial, and provide for ease of installation, including a design thickness capable of supporting the required axle load of 5.0 metric tons (11,000 pounds), plus the superimposed earth load and shall be properly cured in accordance with ANC Standards and Measures, be cured not less than 30 days prior to delivery and installation, and the concrete must have a minimum compressive strength of 4,500 pounds per square inch (psi) and have a sufficient weight-bearing surface area to prevent sinking. The appropriate NAICS Code is 327390; Size Standard of 500 employees is applicable. Place of performance for this contract is Arlington National Cemetery (ANC) and the US Soldier's & Airmen's Home National Cemetery (USSAAHNC).
