Description
The Alaska Air National Guard, 176 MSG/MSC, is conducting market research to identify potential small business sources (including 8(a), veteran-owned small business, service-disabled veteran-owned small business, HUB Zone small business, small disadvantaged business, and women-owned small business concerns) with the capacity and technical capability necessary to successfully perform the requirements described herein. The subject requirement is to provide a lightweight drysuit for the 212th Rescue Squadron. The Guardian Angel (GA) members of the 212th Rescue Squadron are required to operate in the harshest climates on earth regularly conducting real world operations in arctic conditions while simultaneously training for, and deploying to some of the hottest and driest parts of the world. Therefore, they require products that ensure operators are capable of surviving in extreme conditions where product failure can quite literally lead to loss of life. These products must have a proven track record of withstanding extreme arctic conditions (or desert, etc.) while also allowing for maximum comfort, function and performance of GA Operators. Drysuits must include Cordura material on any areas that are more susceptible to tearing (knees, arms, around neck, etc.). The drysuit requires multiple pockets, a field repair kit, and the ability to form fit to the divers for optimum maneuverability. This is a Sources Sought Notice (SSN) only. This is not a solicitation announcement. No contract will be awarded from this announcement. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement. The Government will use responses to this Sources Sought Notice to make appropriate acquisition decisions. Any resultant contract is anticipated to be a Firm Fixed Price contract. The requirement fall under the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 339920. Interested firms must demonstrate in their qualification statement that they are qualified to perform the complete this requirement under this NAICS code. Firms responding to the Sources Sought Notice are requested to provide drysuit specifications and drawing or photo. Telephonic and mail/courier responses will not be accepted.
