- Description
- Questions and Answers Pertaining to Solicitation # W911W6-14-R-0003 Questions: What is the typical minimum RPM and typical maximum RPM? What is the estimated histogram usage at the two RPM extremes and at the middle? Answer for both: If the reference is to rotor RPM it is 100% for part of the time and 50% for part of the time with the transition from one speed to the other taking no more than 20 seconds. Varying mission profiles will determine how long the aircraft is in 100% rotor mode or 50% rotor mode and is therefore unspecifiable. Typical maximum rotor RPM's will vary with the type of aircraft. If the reference is to engine speed (RPM) the answer is 100% continuous. Typical maximum engine RPM's will vary with the type/size of turbine engine.
