Description
The Federal Bureau of Prisons - Federal Correctional Institution in Safford, Arizona intends to make a single award to a qualified small business for the provision of one Radiological Technologist (NAICS 621399, Size Standard is $7.0 million in revenue per year) for the inmate population located at FCI Safford 1529 W. U.S. Hwy 366, Safford, AZ, 85546. The Contractor will be responsible for providing services to include: Perform all types of radiographs (Chest, skull, joints, extremities, etc.), Exercise extreme tact and patience in positioning and instructing patient and in obtaining the cooperation and understanding of the patient. Maintains necessary records, unpacks, and stores film and developing, fixing and replenishing solutions. Cleans cassettes keeping them free from dust, blood, and debris. Work on the orders of medical physicians as would be necessary in a clinical setting. Have the ability to read and insure that film is artifact free, correctly positioned and exposed and is best film that can be developed. Contractor qualifications include: Must posses a formal course of study in Radiologic Technology. Must posses a current license or certificate as a Radiologic Technologist/Technician. Have documented experience, continuous full time experience as a Radiologic Technologist. The total estimated quantity is 208 sessions (hours) for the base year, and each of the four option years. The contract shall consist of a base year with four (4) twelve (12) month option periods with the government having the unilateral right to exercise each option. The number of hours per week shall not exceed thirty (30) hours. The solicitation will be made available on or about April 4, 2014 and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration Federal Business Opportunities website at www.fbo.gov. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The web site provides downloading instructions. All future information concerning this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will be distributed solely through this website. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure you have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. The anticipated date of receipt of quotes is on or about April 25, 2014. The anticipated date of award is May 9, 2014. This solicitation is 100% set-a-side for small business and all responsive/responsible quotes will be considered. Faith-Based and Community Based Organizations have the right to submit quotes equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. This service is a contractual arrangement and not a personnel appointment.
