Description

Under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 351-7 and FAR Parts 12, 15 and 37, the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), VISN 15 Heartland Network, St. Louis VAMC (Jefferson Barracks, John Cochran), St Louis Missouri, intends to enter into single, firm fixed price, indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (ID/IQ) contract for off-site transcription services. Any contractor that receives the contract award will be eligible to perform transcription services for any VISN 15 facility. However, it is anticipated that task orders will initially be awarded to support the St. Louis VAMC. The minimum award is anticipated to be no less than 300 lines per facility and the maximum award is not expected to exceed 30,000,000 lines per facility per year. The Government reserves the right to utilize any awarded contractor as backup for another VISN 15 facility if it is deemed appropriate. Examples of when this right could be invoked include excessive backlogs, equipment down time and unacceptable performance. To insure a fair opportunity to be considered for backup contract work, price and/or cost, past performance and potential impact on existing workload of the contractor will be considered in the selection of a backup contractor. The contract resulting from this solicitation shall be for the period of one (1) year from date of award with the option to renew for four (4) additional one- (1) year periods. The solicitation will be posted on or about March 19, 2014.
