Description
PROJECT LOCATION: U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, Region 3, La Crosse National Wildlife and Fish Refuge - La Crosse District, Onalaska, WI ESTIMATED MAGNITUDE: The magnitude of this requirement in terms of physical characteristics and estimated price range is between $25,000 and $100,000. SOCIOECONOMIC PROGRAMS: This procurement is set-aside exclusively for small business concerns. For information purposes, the North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) is 237990, Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction, with a size standard in millions of dollars of $33.5 million. The Solicitation Package will be available via electronic commerce on fbo.gov and fedconnect.net on or about April 3, 2014 with a Bid Opening occurring on or about May 5, 2014. The Solicitation Package will include the following: An itemized Bid Schedule, Scope of Work, Drawings, and Prevailing Wage Determination and Bid Bond Form. Please ensure you have a complete downloaded Solicitation Package before submitting your Bid. It is the Contractor's responsibility to ensure that they receive all appropriate solicitation documents to submit a competitive Bid. PROJECT CONSISTS OF: This work includes, but is not limited to, project mobilization and demobilization, project management and oversight, testing, construction surveying, clearing and grubbing, grading, temporary seeding and mulching, furnishing and installing one overlook platform/ramp, site improvements, and all equipment, personnel and equipment required to complete the work. The approximately 430 square foot overlook platform and ramp includes, but is not limited to, treated wood framing, recycled plastic decking, railing, 2 screens, an arbor, stainless fasteners and concrete pier or helical foundations. Site improvements include, but is not limited to; a 6' wide reinforced concrete sidewalk with truncated domes, 12' long corrugated metal pipe, topsoil, and site grading. SITE VISIT: Offerors are urged and expected to inspect the site where the work will be performed. Site visit details will be provided when the full solicitation package is available.
