- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE FOR A HVAC PROJECT AT EIELSON AFB, AK. The U.S.A.F. is seeking to identify potential contractors qualified to perform Heating, Ventilating, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) repair work in the Fairbanks Alaska region. The Government is contemplating a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) Request for Proposal (RFP) contract for a HVAC repair project. The estimated magnitude is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. This posting is a request for information from interested vendors and is issued solely for informational and planning purposes. This posting is not a Request for Proposals. Respondees are advised that the Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this Sources Sought; all costs associated with responding to this Sources Sought will be solely at the interested party's expense. Not responding to this Sources Sought does not preclude participation in any future RFP, if one is issued. If a solicitation is released, it will be synopsized on the FedBizOpps website. It is the responsibility of the potential offerors to monitor these sites for additional information pertaining to this requirement. The work shall include but is not limited to: Heating, Ventilating, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) repairs to Building 1346 at Eielson Air Force Base require new motors, controls, and smoke detectors. Existing fan motors will be removed and new motors will be reconnected to the existing HVAC control system and power distribution infrastructure. Existing duct-type smoke detectors will be removed and new duct-type smoke detectors will be provided in this project. The goal of this project is to reduce energy consumption by replacing the poorly performing air handling equipment and reducing the outside air requirements to match current use. The U.S.A.F. is requesting the following information from interested vendors: - Company name and contact information to include phone number and email - positive statement of your interest in this procurement as a prime contractor. - DUNS number and CAGE code. - business type (large business, small business, small disadvantaged business, 8(a)-certified small disadvantaged business, HUBZone small business, woman-owned small business, very small business, veteran-owned small business, service-disabled veteran-owned small business) based upon North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 238220.
