- The United States Air Force through the Air Force Sustainment Center at Tinker Air Force Base is contemplating to procure a Firm Fixed Price Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity contract for repair of the T53-L-703 Engine. Facility must be an authorized Honeywell Repair facility (Submit copy of certificate with proposal). THIS IS A 100% SMALL BUSINESS SET ASIDE. 1. Estimated solicitation issue date and estimated closing/response date issued: 1 April 2013, Closes 30 April 2014 2. RFQ# - FA8124-14-Q-0001 3. PR# - FD2030-14-35085 4. Nomenclature/Noun - T53-L-703 Engine Repair 5. NSN - 2840-00-621-1860 6. PN - 1-000-060-23 7. Application (Engine or Aircraft) - T53 8. AMC - 1/C 9. History - FA8124-13-C-0014 10. Description: A one-year for a Firm Fixed Price IDIQ contract is anticipated. The United States Air Force (USAF) requires an entire T53-L-703 engine assembly with it's covered components, used in the TH-1H Helicopter, to be disassembled, inspected, repaired, assembled and tested as required In Accordance With (IAW) Honeywell Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Commerical T53-L-703 manuals. The objective is to provide the USAF with the best value reliability, quality, and affordable T53-L-703 serviceable engines and components. The USAF will not accept direct sale of engines or parts that have not been repaired / inspected / tested IAW Honeywell manuals. The Contractor shall provide proof of Honeywell certification as an authorized engine / component repair facility for the T53-L-703 engine and it's covered components as part of the their Proposal to be considered for evaluation of the T53-L-703 workload. 11.Packaging - Only Military Packaging and Marking will be accepted 12. Mandatory Language: Based upon market research, the Government is using the policies contained in Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in its solicitation for the described supplies or services. 13. Export Control: DFARS 252.204-7008 Export-Controlled Items applies 14. Qualification Requirements: Award will be made only if the offeror, the product/service or the manufacturer meets qualification requirement at time of award, in accordance with FAR clause 52.209-1.
