Description
The Defense Security Service (DSS) intends to issue an award as a small business set-aside on sole source basis to Carahsoft Technology Inc., 12369 Sunrise Valley Drive, Suite D2, Reston, VA 20191 for a requirement to provide the renewal of seventy-five (75) VMware software licenses. DSS will be utilizing Carahsoft Technology Inc.'s DoD Army Chess contract # W91QUZ-09-A-0003 as the contract vehicle. The anticipated award date is Tuesday, March 25, 2014 under NAICS 423430. The size standard associated with this NAICS is 100 employees. The period of performance will be for one (1) base year and three (3) option years. A determination not to compete this requirement is within the discretion of the Government. This notice is for informational purposes only; IT IS NOT a request for competitive quotes. The Government intends to award this requirement non-competitively IAW FAR 6.302-1(c), "Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirement". Interested sources may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. Any response to this notice must show clear and concise evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government in future procurements.
