- Specifications BACKGROUND This is a Sources Sought notice to support the Drug Enforcement Administration's (DEA) Security and Identification Unit (ISPC). This is not a request for proposals and does not obligate the Government to award a contract. All responsible businesses, including small businesses, are encouraged to respond to this Sources Sought. The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) is conducting market research and requests input from industry to assist in requirements planning. The information requested herein will be used within the DEA to facilitate the decision making process and acquisition planning. The DEA will not be responsible for any cost incurred by interested parties in responding to this Sources Sought. Unsolicited proposals or offers of any kind will not be considered in response to this Sources Sought. All information received in response to this Sources Sought that is marked Proprietary will be handled accordingly. Responses to the Sources Sought will not be returned. At this time, questions concerning the composition and requirements of any future RFP regarding badges, badge and credential cases, credential stock paper, and plastic hologram holders as specified herein will not be accepted or addressed by the Government. Please note that participation in this Sources Sought is optional, and not mandatory or necessary for participation as an offeror should a later related solicitation for this requirement be posted. REQUIREMENTS The Drug Enforcement (DEA) has a requirement for Special Agent and other badges as well as badge and credential cases, credential stock paper, and plastic hologram holders conforming to the specifications provided (see attachment). DEA is also seeking sources that are able to incorporate anti-counterfeiting technology as well as transponder chips into the badges. A turn-around of initial order will be required within 90 days of award. Subsequent orders would have a required delivery of 60 days after award. Repair of previously issued DEA badges, regardless of manufacturer, is also a requirement. Additionally, respondent must currently have a facility security clearance (FCL) at the Secret Level and provide documents to support this clearance when responding to the sources sought. RESPONSES Interested sources are asked to provide their responses in Times New Roman, 12 -point font responses must include the following information: 1. Company name; mailing address; physical address; point of contact; telephone number; fax number; e-mail address; DUNS number; NAICS code; company business size (if small, indicate type); and GSA schedule number (if applicable). 2. A corporate capability statement between one and five pages that includes relevant experience within the past three years. Relevant experience is defined as possessing the experience described in the "Requirements" section above. SUBMISSION All responses to this notice shall be submitted in writing to Rebecca Stegall, Contract Specialist, at Rebecca.V.Stegall@usdoj.gov no later than 3:00 PM Eastern Daylight Savings Time (EDST) on March 31, 2014.
