Description
The United States Coast Guard (USCG), Aviation Logistics Center (ALC), Long Range Surveillance (LRS) Product Line located in Elizabeth City, NC is conducting market research to determine the extent of authorized CMC Electronics vendors capable of performing the detailed C130J aircraft software upgrade required for the CMA 4000 control display unit system to enhance interface capability with existing avionics equipment. Vendors must be a CMC Electronics certified source of supply. The Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) is CMC Electronics (Cage Code 38753) The Government will use responses from this sources sought notice to make an appropriate decision about soliciting this requirement. This is not a solicitation announcement. This is a sources sought synopsis only. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code assigned to this procurement is 541512. This is not a request for proposals and in no way obligates the Government to award any contract. The purpose of this sources sought synopsis is to gain knowledge of any commercially available CMC Electronics certified source of supply vendor capable of supplying the C130J aircraft software upgrade required for the CMA 4000 system. Responses to this notice should include company name, address, telephone number, point of contact (POC), capabilities, certifications, etc., which will allow the USCG to understand your full capabilities. Please respond to the following: 1. Company profile to include company name, office location(s), DUNS/CAGE Code number, email address, and a statement regarding current small/large business status (i.e. - certified 8(a), Service Disabled Veteran-Owned (SDVOSB), Woman-Owned (WOSB), Economically Disadvantaged Woman-Owned (EDWOSB), or certified HubZone). Large Businesses ARE permitted to respond to this sources sought notice. 2. Name, title, address, phone number, email address of company point of contact. 3. Are your supplies/services listed on a GSA schedule? 4. Prior/current experience assembling the kit, including contract number, organization supported, indication of whether a prime or subcontractor, contract value, Government/customer point of contact with current phone number and email address, and a brief description of how the referenced contract relates to the effort described herein. Respondents are encouraged to review the information requested above carefully and ensure a complete response for thorough consideration. After review of the responses to this sources sought notice, and if the Government still plans to proceed with the procurement for the software upgrade required for the CMA 4000 system, a solicitation announcement will be published on FedBizOpps. Responses to this sources sought notice are NOT adequate responses to any future solicitation announcement. All interested offers will have to respond to the solicitation in addition to responding to this sources sought notice. All companies responding to this sources sought notice are advised that their response to this notice is NOT a request to be considered for a contract award. All interested parties must respond to any future solicitation announcement separately from the responses to this announcement. Responses to this Sources Sought Notice are NOT a request to be added to a prospective offers list or to receive a copy of the solicitation. Reimbursement will not be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement and any follow-up information requests. Respondents shall note that the Government will not return any information submitted in response to this notice. The Government is not responsible for any costs incurred by respondents regarding any responses to this notice.
