Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration, VA Boston Healthcare System, has a requirement for human plasma analysis. The contractor shall provide quality-controlled radiometric analyses of plasma cortisol, DHEA and DHEA-S of human plasma samples. Cortisol levels shall be measured using an antibody-coated tube radioimmunoassay (RIA) with an intra-assay coefficient of variation (CV) of <5% and inter-assay CV of 8.2%. These assays are a continuation of a previously completed project. VA will issue a Request for Quotation (RFQ) that will result in a fixed price contract. A base of one year with four (4) 1-year option periods is anticipated. VA intends to solicit the only known source; a valid sole-source justification exists and shall be published at award. This is a pre-solicitation notice posted in accordance with FAR 5.204; it is not a sources sought notice. No phone calls will be accepted; communication shall be via email only. Inquiries/information received after the established deadline shall not be considered. The Government does not intend to pay for information solicited. This synopsis is issued pursuant to FAR 5.204.
