- The Atlanta VA Medical Center, Decatur, GA has a requirement for HealthCare for Homeless Veteran (HCHV) to provide case management services to homeless female veterans and facilitates their access to a broad range of medical, substance abuse, mental health, and rehabilitative services. Contractor shall provide services to develop women specific wrap around care included but not limited to: outreach, crisis intervention, counseling and housing placement. The Atlanta VAMC shall authorize services for veteran female beneficiaries under this contract. The type of patients to be cared for under this contract will be women usually requiring care and services above the level of room and board. This program will include residential treatment for women without children. The contractor will provide a minimum of 12 beds. The HCHV Program is an essential and critical part of Veteran Healthcare Administration (VHA) and is vital for providing a gateway to VA and community supportive services for eligible female Veterans who are homeless, have mental health issues and/or addicted to drugs/ alcohol. The HCHV Contract Residential Treatment Program for homeless Veterans is a vital program focused on addressing the needs of the most vulnerable and at risk homeless veterans. Ensuring that Homeless Veterans with various issues can be placed in community-based programs which provide quality housing and services that meet the needs of this special population is a particular focus of the HCHV program. The applicable NAICS Code is 623220 - Residential Mental Health and Substance Abuse Facilities (Size Standard of $14 Million). This requirement is issued as a 100% Small Business Set-Aside. The anticipated solicitation issue date is Wednesday, March 12, 2014 and will be available online at www.fbo.gov. The proposal due date will be March 24, 2014 and questions from offerors regarding the content of the solicitation will be due to the contracting officer no later than close of business on March 19, 2014.
