- Drawing Solicitation This solicitation is being posted to the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov/ It is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet. Please feel free to use FBO to access information posted by NSWC Crane. Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane has a sole source requirement for 1640 feet of Fiber Optic Cable per dwg 8479606. This cable is composed of a combination of 2 (two) MIL-STD's (M85045/22-01 and M85045/22-02). Firm Fixed Prices are being sought. The requirement is being issued as a sole source to General Cable 1600 W Main St, Willimantic CT. THIS CABLE MUST BE COMPOSED FROM A COMBINATION OF 2 (TWO) MIL-STD CABLES. 50% FIBERS FROM M85045/22-01 AND 50% FIBERS FROM M85045/22-02. GENERAL CABLE IS THE ONLY QPL SOURCE FOR THOSE TWO CABLES. TIME DOES NOT EXIST FOR ANOTHER SOURCE TO HAVE THEIR CABLES QPL CERTIFIED AS AN URGENT REQUIREMENT CURRENTLY EXISTS. This solicitation is being issued pursuant to the procedures at FAR 13. Synopsis exception FAR 5.202(a)(13) applies and Solicitation Number N00164-14-T-0108; is hereby issued as an attachment hereto. All changes to the requirement that occur prior to the closing date will be posted to FedBizOpps. It is the responsibility of interested vendors to monitor FedBizOpps for amendments that may be issued to this solicitation. For changes made after the closing date, only those offerors that provide a proposal will be provided any changes/amendments and considered for future discussions and/or award. Offers may be faxed to Eugene Colvin, FAX 812-854-3471 or e-mailed to eugene.colvin@navy.mil. All required information must be received on or before 4:30 PM local time.
