- The Department of Veterans Affairs Mid Atlantic Health Care Network (VISN 6) intends to negotiate a sole source procurement with Metro Medical for one Zeiss Cirrus HD-OCT Model 5000 Version 6.5 w/FastTrac, Printer and Table. Contract will also involve a trade-in of one older Zeiss Cirrus OCT Model 3000-5677. The proposed contract is for equipment for which the government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement no later than Noon, March 10, 2014, local time. Interested parties must submit all technical information required to make a determination the proposed units meet or exceed the specifications of the above referenced unit. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. System for Award management (SAM): Rule requires a firm to be registered in the SAM Registration Database (SAM) and ORCA (www.bpn.gov) prior to award of any contract and agreements.
