Description

The VA Network 22 Contracting Office intends to issue an open-market solicitation for the Preventative Maintenance Inspection and Intervening Service of Government owned Burlodge Pod & B-Pod Meal Delivery System components and is seeking interested vendors. The VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System Food and Nutrition Department is charged with handling the preparation of an estimated 23,040 meals per day for our Veterans, 365 days a year. The Contractor shall provide a full service contract that includes all labor, supplies, supervision and materials required for necessary repairs and scheduled Preventative Maintenance Inspections (PMIs) of the Government owned Burlodge Meal Delivery System (BMDS) components: forty-four (44) B-Pods and one hundred seventy-three (173) Pods (model POS.000.0001 with tow bar and CT bumper). The contractor shall perform on-site maintenance, repair, calibration, provide parts, performance verification, and quality assurance to keep the equipment covered by this contract in optimum operating condition. The contractor shall furnish all necessary labor, tools, equipment and engineering skills to service BMDS components. Total Service shall consist of Intervening Service and scheduled Preventative Maintenance Inspection (PMI). The equipment shall be maintained at optimum operating conditions and meet the manufacturer's specifications for operation. This shall be accomplished in accordance with each respective piece of equipment's operating manual and applicable codes. Inspection certificates shall be displayed as appropriate. The Burlodge Meal Delivery System components are distributed across participating facilities as follows: VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System 11301 Wilshire Blvd. Los Angeles, CA 90073 Hours: 8am - 4pmB-PodsBldg. 3213 4215 1300 15500 PodsBldg. 173500 Sepulveda Outpatient/Clinic CLC/Hospice 16111 Plummer St. North Hills, CA 91343 Hours: 8am - 4pmB-PodsBldg. 520/A04 VA Long Beach Healthcare System 5901 E. Seventh St. Long Beach, CA 90822 Hours: 8am - 4pmB-PodsBldg. 8126 3133 4150 1166 **Note: The B-Pods are a stationary components and PMI/Total Service must be performed on-site at their location. The Pods are a mobile component. A center for servicing the Pods will be established at a pre-designated location at VAGLA (Building 500). The Government intends to make a single award to the Lowest Priced, Technically Acceptable Offeror. The anticipated period of performance for the base year is April 1, 2014 - Mar 31, 2015, with one option year. The anticipated solicitation issue date is March 14th, 2014 and will be issued electronically at www.fbo.gov and advertised with a NAICS code of 811310. The anticipated award date will be on or around March 31st, 2014. To be eligible to conduct business with the Government, Contractors must be register with the System for Award Management (www.sam.gov). It is mandatory to obtain a DUNS number prior to registering in SAM. This can be done by calling Dun & Bradstreet (1.800.333.0505).
