- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT FOR INFORMATION ONLY. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS AND NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED FROM THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. In preparation for a future procurement, the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center in Houston, Texas is performing market research to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification (service disabled veteran owned small business, veteran owned small business, hub zone, 8(a), small disadvantage business, woman-owned, small business, or large business) relative to NAICS 238990 that can offer the services listed below: The Houston VA Medical Center is seeking contractors to provide all labor, materials, supervision, tools, and other services for the 'Incinerator Pad Project' which include the following scope: SCOPE OF WORK AND GENERAL SPECIFICATIONS INCINERATOR PAD SITE PROJECT - 580-14-1-5023-0017 1.Background: The Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center (MEDVAMC) is required by EPA 40 CFR Part 264.1100 to have a designated hazardous waste storage building for safe storage and containment of toxic, corrosive, flammable, and explosive/reactive chemicals/materials. The previous building had to be destroyed and removed due to construction of a new CoGeneration building. The site location for the new building pad site requires critical site preparation and use of crane to meet this regulatory requirement. 2.Project Scope Includes the following: Phase 1: Move debris & equipment out of the 45' X 60' pad to prepare for steam & pressure cleaning services. Includes garbage dumpsters for removal of unwanted items for example, debris or old equipment being stored on pad site floor, and the equipment and labor to move everything that is currently stored outside on the pad site. Phase 2: Steam & pressure cleaning of the 45' X 60' pad site floor. Phase 3: Apply solvent/chemical and acid resistant sealant epoxy to the 45' X 60' concrete pad site floor. Phase 4: Unload, Hoist, Rig, skate, & anchor (1) 22,000 lb. pre-fab chemical storage building and take down and reinstall steel chain-linked fencing as needed to skate pre-fab chemical storage building onto old incinerator pad site. Scope includes crane, riggers, project manager & all tools necessary to complete the above-mentioned tasks. 3.Project Scope: Proposal should be for overall turnkey project. 4.Pre-fab Chemical Storage Building Specifications & Requirements: Physical Characteristics "30' Length "13' 6" Width "8' 8" Height "22,000 lbs. Weight "Note: Crane is required at delivery, unloading and setup of building. Offloading - Crane 2 Strap Lift Illustration (Attachement #1) Interested companies should submit an electronic statement/attachment outlining their company's capability and capacity to provide the services requested. Also, firms should provide their business size status in accordance with the small business administration website (www.sba.gov) for the above referenced NAICS code they fall within (i.e. small businesses, 8(a) firms, HUB Zones, small disabled veteran owned businesses, etc.) This Sources sought is for informational purposes only and all businesses able to provide this equipment are encouraged to submit information regardless of Business size.
