- THIS SYNOPSIS HAS BEEN CHANGED to Economiccally Disadvantaged Women Owned Small Business (EDWOSB) This project is being solicited under AFFARS MP5332.7. "Notice to Offeror(s)/Supplier(s): Funds are not presently available for this effort. No award will be made under this solicitation until funds are available. The Government reserves the right to cancel this solicitation, either before or after the closing date. In the event the Government cancels this solicitation, the Government has no obligation to reimburse an offeror for any costs." FAR clause 52.232-18, Availability of Funds will be incorporated into the solicitation. This synopsis is for the HVAC repair in Building 90322 on Hurlburt Field AFB, FL. The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, tools, supervision, and equipment to perform all operations necessary to accomplish all work complete in place, as shown on the drawings, or as needed to repair HVAC in Building 90322 on Hurlburt Field AFB. The general work includes, but is not limited to: 1) Demolition: removal and Replacement of first floor single zone Air Handling Unit; removal of 2nd and 3rd Floor DX 100% Outside Air Units; removal of all circuitry to Chilled Water Air Handling Unit on first floor; removal of circuitry to existing Outside Air Condensing Units located outside; removal of circuitry to existing Outside Air Handling Units on second and third floors; removal of Duct Smoke Detectors from Air Handling Units. 2) New Work: connection of Facility to a nearby Central Chilled Water Plant; test and Balance of Facility Air and Hydronic Systems; provide new circuitry for new Air Handling Units "AHU-1", "AHU-2", "AHU-3 and Duct Heater "DH-1","DH-2", "DH-3"; provide new Duct Smoke Detectors for new Air Handling Units and reconnect to existing circuitry. This acquisition will be set aside for Economiccally Disadvantaged Women Owned Small Business (EDWOSB) offerors only. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this project is 238220 with a size standard of $14M. This contract will be awarded in accordance with FAR Part 15, Negotiated Procedures. Performance period is 190 calendar days. Estimated magnitude for this project is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00. Payment and performance bonds will be required within ten (10) days of contract award. The work is required in support of the 1st Special Operations Civil Engineer Squadron. The issuance date for this solicitation is projected to be on/about 18 February 2014. Prospective contractors must be registered in The System Award Management (SAM) (www.sam.gov) prior to award of a government contract. Offerors are further advised that failure to register in The System Award Management will render your firm ineligible for award. Registration requires applicants to have a DUNS number.
