Description
**Information Only** The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office, NCO17 (10N17/90C), anticipates awarding a Firm Fixed price contract for construction services for the Research Addition of Building 205, Project 674-279, located at the Central Texas Veterans Health Care System, 1901 Veterans Memorial Drive, Temple Texas. The entire project is to be completed with 600 days of the Notice to Proceed (NTP). The contractor shall furnish all labor, tools, and materials, equipment and supervision for partial demolition of Bldg 205, to include walls, plumbing, electrical, fire sprinkler system, fire alarm system, parking lots, to accommodate the 2-story expansion of Bldg 205. The Project will require site demolition, including but not limited to, removal of certain building structures, earthwork, landscaping, trees, underground and above ground utilities, concrete flatwork and foundations, asphalt and concrete paving and other items required by contract documents, drawings and specifications. Expansion will include animal laboratories, climate controlled sample storage areas, research work stations, employee dressing areas, restrooms, administrative areas, and interconnectivity for Texas A&M research. Contractor shall comply with applicable VA specifications and drawings as well as all applicable city, county, state, and federal regulations and codes and OSHA standards that may impact this requirement. Additionally, they shall comply with Infection Control Risk Assessment (ICRA) Standards Class and other construction safety requirements as noted in the construction documents. The method of procurement shall be a Invitation of Bid (IFB) in accordance with Parts 14 and 36 of the FAR, with an anticipated Issue date on or before March 28, 2014 with proposed due date of approximately May 13, 2014. This requirement is a competitive offer, Set Aside 100% for SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESS (SDVOSB), under Public Law 109-461 (38 USC 8127).
