- Market Research Questionnaire THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. Solicitations are not available at this time. This notice does not constitute a commitment by the Government. The Federal Bureau of Prisons (FBOP), Field Acquisition Office (FAO) is conducting market research for the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) Bennettsville located in Bennettsville, South Carolina in compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulation, part 10. The FBOP/FAO intends to make an award for the provision of a post-secondary education program (vocational training welding instructor). The contractor will be responsible for providing two cycles of instruction per year (720 hours per cycle estimate) during the base year and four possible option years. The contractor will provide a curriculum that meets the American Welding Society (AWS) certification requirements. It is estimated that the class size will be 20 students. The Contractor will provide classroom and application instruction at FCI Bennettsville, Monday through Friday, normally six hours per day between the hours of 8:00am - 4:00pm or as agreed to by the Supervisor of Education. All contractor staff assigned to provide instructional services must have certification in the welding field in addition to BA/BS degree. They must also have at least two years teaching experience in a classroom setting. Market research is being conducted to determine interest and capability of potential sources for this requirement. A Government solicitation document to provide these services is being developed and a contract may or may not result. All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary and the Government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the Government. All information concerning this requirement will be distributed solely through the General Service Administrations Federal Business Opportunities website at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. The site provides downloading instructions. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. Faith-Based and Community-Based Organizations can submit offers/quotes equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible.
