Description

This combined synopsis/solicitation VA256-14-Q-0495 for commercial items has been prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This notice constitutes the only solicitation; a quote is being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. A quotation in response to this notice must be received not later than 4:00 PM CST, March 20, 2014. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-72. The Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN 16, Contracting Office has a requirement for Interferon Gamma Release Assay (IGRA) (Replacement Test for Quantiferon-TB Gold) located at 4300 West 7th Street, Little Rock, Arkansas 72205-5446. This new action is being requested for the provision of a confirmation test for Mycobacterium Tuberculosis (TB). The T-Spot TB test is an in vitro T cell measurement assay used for diagnosing TB disease and latent TB infection and is the first product from a specific testing facility using the T-Spot technology. The solicitation number VA256-14-Q-0495 will be conducted in accordance with FAR Part 12.603 (Streamlined Solicitation for Commercial Items) and will be evaluated in accordance with the procedures therein. This solicitation will be issued as a set-aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses. Solicitation documents are not currently available and will be available on or around February 28, 2014. These dates are not firm and may change due to unforeseen events beyond the Government's control. Awardee must be registered in System for Award Management (SAM) https://www.sam.gov and certified in VetBiz https://www.vip.vetbiz.gov. The NAICS code is 541380 with a standard size 500 employees. Interested parties may submit their request in writing with company name, address, email, point of contact and telephone and fax number. All inquiries shall be clearly defined with solicitation number VA25614-Q-0495 on all correspondences via email to the government point of contact. The Government will consider all responses received by 3:00 PM EST, on March 20, 2014. Inquiries will be accepted via email to lois.thomas@va.gov.
