- Description
- Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Network Contracting Office 9 (NCO 9) intends to award a sole source contract award to LPIT Solutions, Inc., 25 Commerce Ave SE STE 200, Grand Rapids, MI, 49503-4199. The Period of Performance for Contract Award will be one (1) twelve (12) month base period and four (4) one (1) year option periods. This requirement is for TrackCore Implant Tracking System product for managing the chain of custody for tissues and surgical implants, while adhering to compliance regulations and Federal standards. TrackCore's intuitive functionality provides for quick and accurate data retrieval, enhancing patient safety while minimizing administrative costs. The system is designed to utilize TrackCore to manage biological and non-biological implants. TrackCore is the only system that has the specific abilities for tracking and scanning of implant inventories as required by the Department of Veterans Affairs. The TrackCore System is the only implant tracking tool available that provides the complete scope of work that is required by VHA. This system monitors both biological and non-biological inventory and implanted items. TrackCore also provides the ability to track all implants, down to the specific sterile trays and pans. This system allows users to scan implants at every junction in use, from arrival to implantation. This provides for more accurate records and inventory control. Other similar systems do not include scanning software; this would have to be purchased from another 3rd party vendor and subsequently integrated into the system. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES; however, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification prior to the response due date and time. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to perform the requirements. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the Government will proceed with the award. Responses are due by March 13, 2012 at 12:00 p.m. (ET). Responses shall be submitted via e-mail to dustin.epperson@va.gov. Telephone requests or inquires will not be accepted.
