- The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Region 4 - CGS, Atlanta, Georgia intends to award a sole source contract to Gulf Power Company, a utility company of the Southern Company, under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) - FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii)(A) - Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirements for the installation of poles, light bulbs, and fixtures to minimize potential impacts to adjacent sea turtle nesting habitat at Casino Beach in Pensacola Beach, Florida. Gulf Powers owns and maintains these lights. The bulbs, poles and fixture will be maintained for a minimum of 5 years. Gulf Power Company is legally responsible for the light case by those lights and supplies the power. No other source has the ability to make the necessary upgrades. This action will result in a firm fixed price contract. The NAICS code for this requirement is 221122. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and the Government does not intend to accept proposals received. Award will be made following the publication of this notice.
