Description
This Notice of intent to Sole Source is not a request for competitive proposals. No solicitation documents are available. Under Statutory Authority 41 U.S.C. 253(g), the Birmingham VA Medical Center intends to procure services for De-Install/Reinstall UROSKIP Access Equipment on an other than full and open competition basis with Siemens Medical Solutions USA, Inc. (DBA Nuclear Systems Group), 51 Valley Stream Parkway, Malvern, PA 19355-1406. This purchase is to procure services to De-Install current UROSKIP Access Equipment and then to re-install the same equipment. These machines will be direct replacements of existing components of an integrated hemodialysis system. Services Include the deinstallation and reinstallation of the equipment from current location at VA Birmingham to new location within same building to Include the materials and parts necessary to install the Equipment in the new location, as well as set-up and calibration of the equipment as required. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirements. Contract is firm fixed price and the NAICS Code is 811219. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive proposals. No solicitations documents are available and telephone requests will not be honored. However, if a firm believes it can meet the requirements it must furnish information about its products and services, as well as references from other customers who are using these products and service, to the Contracting Officer within seven (7) calendar days from the date of publication of this synopsis. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements. Information must be sent to the Connie Ganier, Contracting Specialist, NCO 7, Birmingham, VA Medical Center via e-mail at connie.ganier@va.gov. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the contracting specialist will proceed with the sole source procurement with Siemens Medical Solutions.
