- SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT FOR ELECTRIC MOTOR The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Panama City Division (NSWC PCD) is seeking information from potential sources for an electric motor to be installed on the Landing Craft Air Cushion Vehicle (LCAC). This motor is a component for the LCAC Ramp System. The purpose of this Sources Sought notice is to determine whether industry has commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) products available for purchase if responding vendors' products meet required specifications. Electric Motor Requirements: Characteristics: Voltage: 115/200 Volts (AC) 3-Phase Operating Frequency: 400 Hz Speed: 7,600 RPM Normal Operating: 9.5 HP Intermittent Operating: 12.75 HP Max: Surge Current: 208 Amps Power Factor: 0.84 Physical Dimensions est.: 10.5in x 6.25in x 9.75in (L x W x H) AC Normal Operation Characteristics 400Hz: Steady State Voltage: 108 to 118 Volts, RMS Voltage Unbalance: 3 Volts, RMS max. Voltage Modulation: 2.5 Volts, RMS max. Voltage Phase Difference: 116° to 124° Distortion Factor: 0.05 max. Crest Factor: 1.31 to 1.51 DC Component: +0.1 to -0.1 Volts Steady State Frequency: 393 to 407 Hz Frequency Modulation: 4Hz Transient Peak Volt Limits: ±271.8 Volts Additional Documentation: The following additional documentation can be provided to inquiring vendors via Technical POC listed below. NAVSEA Drawing No.: 584-5749824 LCAC Pump, HYDR w/Electric Motor Ramp Systems Responses: Respond with the following: •1. Technical literature with complete description and specifications illustrating the ability of the product to meet the above characteristics in the announcement. •2. Additional relevant documentation (product specifications, data sheets, user manuals, test reports, etc.). •3. Anticipated life-cycle of the product. •4. Estimated service charge for returned product needing repair. •5. Estimated unit cost for quantities of 1, 5, and 50 units. Include lead time for delivery of units ordered in the quoted quantities above. Interested parties must provide electronic submittals to be received by the Government 30 business days from date of announcement. There is no specific format or outline that submittals must follow.
