- Description
- The 90 th Contracting Squadron, F.E. Warren AFB, Cheyenne, WY intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for acquisition of Maintain Base Paint at F.E. Warren AFB, WY. The Government anticipates the award of a Firm­ Fixed Price Requirements Contract consisting of a Base Year plus 4 Option Years. The purpose of the project is to perform interior and exterior painting services at FE Warren AFB. Work primarily consists of, but is not limited to, providing all labor, means, operations, materials, equipment, permits, management, and accessories and incidentals necessary to perform interior and exterior painting and exterior metal appurtenance painting; related surface preparation and any necessary lead-based paint remediation of previously painted surfaces. The work will be performed on historic and non-historic structures at F.E. Warren AFB (does not include base housing). The Period of Performance for each project will be determined for individual Delivery Orders (DOs). This proposed contract is being set-aside as a 100% Competitive 8(a). Only Small Businesses registered with the Small Business Administration in the 8(a) program are eligible for award. The North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) Code proposed for the requirement is 238320, Painting and Wall Covering Contractors. The size standard for NAICS 238320 is $14.0 million. The government is interested in all 8(a) small businesses including, Historically Underutilized Business Zone, Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses, Women Owned Small Businesses, and Small Disadvantaged Business that are interested in performing this requirement. The magnitude of construction is estimated to be between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. An electronic copy of this solicitation will be available at www.fbo.gov no earlier than Friday, March 14, 2014. The RFP posting could be delayed. Please check FBO for any changes in release date. The closing date for the receipt of proposals will be 30 days after posting of the RFP. An organized site visit is tentatively scheduled to occur about 15 days after issuance of the RFP. The date will be included in Section L Provision 5352.215-9001 and Instructions to Offerors paragraph 1.0.b. All prospective contractors are encouraged to attend. The particulars of the site visit will be included in the solicitation. All relevant solicitation documents may be accessed for download beginning on the date of issuance of the RFP at the following site: www.fbo.gov.
