Description
Annual Antibodies and Reagents for Laboratory Medicine This is a notice of intent, not a request for a quotation. A solicitation document will not be issued and quotations will not be requested The national Institutes of Health (NIH), Clinical Center (CC) Department of Laboratory Medicine (DLM), intends to award a one year fixed price purchase order to Ventana Medical Systems, Inc. Tucson, AZ 85755 to procure antibodies and other reagents for use on one (1) existing government owned Ventana instrument, the Benchmark Ultra TM, that is in place in the Hematology laboratory for patient testing. Ventana Medical Systems Inc. is the trademark holder and only known distributor of the Ventana kits, which must be used with the Benchmark Ultra TM. The stated supplies are barcoded and validated for the in-vitro diagnostic use on the Ventana instrumentation. Any substitutions to the current instrumentation could invalidate the Ventana staining platforms, and delay clinical assessment. Any third-party product will void the current warranty of the equipment that would be detrimental to the government. The schedule of supply is listed below: Description UltraView Universal ALK Phos Red Detection Kit Qty 48 UltraView DAB IHC Detection Kit Qty 24, The instrument and reagents is a comprehensive package that includes rigorously executed protocol documentation as well as data collection to keep the lab instrument audit-ready The acquisition is being conducted using policies unique to the acquisition of commercial items prescribed in FAR Part 12, in conjunction with the policies and procedures for the competition requirements of FAR part 6.302-1. Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities in response to this posting. The determination by the Government no to compete the proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Comments to this announcement, referencing this posting number, may be submitted to the CC, Office of Purchasing and Contracts, prior to the closing date specified in this announcement, electronically to the attention of Milton Dartoozos, contract Specialist, Milton.dartoozos@nih.gov by the due date and time marked in this notice.
