Description
The solicitation SOL-CI-13-00050 amendment 1 will be available for downloading at FedConnect located at the following internet address: www.fedconnect.net/. Questions relating to the solicitation are required to be submitted electronically through FedConnect. Contractor registration in the Government System for Award Management (SAM) is required in order to be eligible for contract award. Registration may be completed and information regarding the registration process may be obtained at http://www.sam.gov. This pre solicitation notice for SOL-CI-13-00050 is amended as follows: 1) A site visit opportunity is hereby announced. It will take place on Tuesday March 4, 2014 at 10AM EDT at the installation site: US EPA, Research Triangle Park Laboratory, 109 TW Alexander Dr, Research Triangle Park, NC 27711. The Agency intends for this event to constitute the sole site visit opportunity for prospective offerors. The Agency is under no obligation to make accommodations for those unable to attend the site visit event as scheduled. Please contact Richard Shores at (919) 541-4983 to express interest in attending and for any additional details regarding this opportunity. 2) The following change for paragraph (c) of the LIMITATION OF FUTURE CONTRACTING Clause is as follows: It is expected that the solicitation and resultant contract will include a ?LIMITATION OF FUTURE CONTRACTING.? Clause. The text of this clause will mirror the clause Limitation of Future Contracting, Alternate V (Headquarters Support), (EPAAR 1552.209-74), (APR 2004), except for paragraph (c). Paragraph (c) of the clause shall read as follows: ?Unless prior written approval is obtained for the EPA Contracting Officer, the contractor agrees not to enter into a contract with respect to the specific activities performed under this contract. Specifically, the contractor may not enter into a business or financial relationship with any entities that: own or operate decontamination companies or entities that have vested commercial interest in emerging decontamination technology. These restrictions apply during the life of the contract.? 3) The Performance Work Statement has been revised and is now available for review. The solicitation is subject to full and open competition, all responsible offerors may submit a proposal. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 541712 (Research and Development in the Physical, Engineering, and Life Sciences) with a size standard of 500 employees.
