- This is a Sources Sought Announcement only The VA Central California Health Care System located at 2615 E. Clinton Ave., Fresno, CA has a need to hire an Architect/Engineering firm for the renovation and expansion of the present laboratory space in a vintage 1949 building (Building 1). This is being done to meet the projected utilization increase for the year 2019, increase laboratory operational efficiency, and maximize patient centered care. The A/E firm shall have, at a minimum, the following licensed/registered specialty disciplines as members of the firm, or team, with demonstrable expertise in their respective fields: Architectural, Civil, Structural, HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Fire Life Safety, Security, IT/Data, Construction Cost Estimating, SHPO, Hazardous Material and Environmental Assessments. At this point in the procurement process, the Department of Veterans Affairs is performing market research to determine if sufficient competition exists in one of the following Socio-economic categories; Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, Veteran Owned Small Business, Women-Owned Small Business, Hubzone Small Business, and Small Disadvantage Businesses (8(a)). The VA is specifically looking for companies that are within 150 miles of the VA campus located at the address listed above. All firms that are interested and have the capabilities to perform this project should send the following information by e-mail to parvinder.brar@va.gov and denise.groves@va.gov or by fax to 559-237-8538 no later than 3:00PM PST March 13, 2014: "Company Name "Address of both home and branch office (if branch is the office within the 150 miles) "Type of socio-economic category The NAICS code for this procurement will be 541310. The current small business size standard for this NAICS is $14 million average annual receipts. At this time the VA requires no other information than the items listed above.
