Description
The following questions have been submitted relating to this requirement. Please see the attached answers for all interested parties informational purposes. Q1: In Section C under Brand Name or Equal Specifications, it says "Qty. 3, NEX-GEN 80R3T On site Chlorine Generators Each unit produces 80 lb of chlorine per day." Then under Salient Characteristics: Units being proposed must be capable of providing a minimum of 240 lbs of chlorine per day. What is the output of each unit in pounds of available chlorine per day? A1: The Government is not requiring a specific output per unit nor the number of units to be proposed to reach the required minimum of 240 lbs of chlorine per day. It is however required that all units must work together to produce the minimum 240 lbs per day in total. Q2: Are all units at the same physical location with the same application point? A2: Yes. Q3: Who will supply electrical work and connections for the units? A3: Power will be available at the site. The contractor will be required to install their equipment. Q4: If contractor supplied electrical work, what exisiting service is available in the unit placement area? A4: The site currently has 408V, 3 phase available. If additional service is required it would be obtained from aerial means (not buried). This would need to be coordinated with local authorities based on the requirements of the proposed system. Q5: How many technicians or maintenance staff will need training on the units? A5: A maximum of 5 personnel will require training on the proposed units.
