Description

PRESOLICITATION NOTICE The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 22 intends to enter into sole source procurement with Varian Medical Systems to provide full maintenance and repair services for Government-owned Varian Linear Accelerators and Ximatron EX Simulators located at VA Long Beach Healthcare System, 5901 E 7th Street, CA 90822. The authority to enter into a contract on a sole-source basis is made under the authority Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-1 which provides for limiting competition in those situations where the supplies or services are available from only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirements. The period of performance shall begin from March 3, 2014 thru June 30, 2014. Interested sources may submit technical capabilities and any other information that demonstrates ability to meet the requirements by submitting their interest in writing with complete name, address, telephone and fax numbers, and a point of contact. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed procurement based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Inquiries will only be accepted in writing via email to Jennelyn.Peters@va.gov. Telephone inquiries will not be accepted. Responses must be received no later than 9:00 AM, Eastern Standard Time on Friday, February 28, 2014.
