Description
BACKGROUND: The Jet Propulsion Laboratory/California Institute of Technology (JPL/Caltech), operating under a prime contract with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), seeks industry interest for providing an on-site duplicating/reprographic service, Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. in support of 5,300 employees. The available on-site facility for duplicating services is approximately 1,500 square feet located at 4800 Oak Grove Drive, Pasadena, CA 91109. REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI): Information requested is part of a market research effort to identify current solutions available. Interested parties shall respond to the following questions upon review of the attached document, which identifies JPLs use of relevant services and materials during calendar years 2011, 2012, and 2013. RFI QUESTIONS: (1) Describe your recent contract experience with comparable or larger scope; (2) Describe your management plan for meeting volume demand, while taking into account JPL and industry trends; (3) How do you plan to support occasional time-critical work during off hours and peak periods without sending work off premises? (4) How would you support additional staffing requirements during peak workloads or for vacation/illness coverage? (5) Provide your plan of action to continue service, should an emergency arise causing the on-site facility to be unavailable; (6) List the equipment you would provide to meet requirements; (7) State your willingness to allow JPL to select individuals for the following key positions: Customer Interface Site Manager, Billing Coordinator, and Production Lead; and (8) The anticipated period of performance for this contract is five (5) years. Suggest a suitable contract type and explain how it would benefit both you and JPL. DUE DATE: Please respond no later than March 4, 2014 to Nar Nazari, Subcontracts Manager via electronic mail, at nar.r.nazari@jpl.nasa.gov. Please send questions only via electronic mail. DISCLAIMER: The requested information is for preliminary planning purposes only and does not constitute a commitment, implied or otherwise, that JPL will solicit your organization for such procurement in the future. Neither JPL nor the Government will be responsible for any costs incurred by your organization in furnishing this information. Prospective subcontractors are advised that any information provided shall be deemed to be furnished with unlimited rights to JPL, with JPL assuming no liability for the disclosure, use, or reproduction of such data.
