- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE FOR A POWERLINE PROJECT AT EIELSON AFB, AK. The U.S.A.F. is seeking to identify potential contractors qualified to perform powerline repair work in the Fairbanks Alaska region. The Government is contemplating a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) Sealed Bid contract for a power pole and power line repair project. The estimated magnitude is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. This posting is a request for information from interested vendors and is issued solely for informational and planning purposes. This posting is not a Request for Proposals. Respondees are advised that the Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this RFI; all costs associated with responding to this RFI will be solely at the interested party's expense. Not responding to this RFI does not preclude participation in any future RFP, if one is issued. If a solicitation is released, it will be synopsized on the FedBizOps website. It is the responsibility of the potential offerors to monitor these sites for additional information pertaining to this requirement. The work shall include but is not limited to: Repair by replacement (warranty included) of approximately 13,200 Linear Feet (LF) of power line and roughly 40 power poles in the Yukon Training Area (YTA). This includes 45' high wooden poles in new locations spaced every 350', 4ea #1/0 15 kV conductor wires, and guy anchors. Clear and grub adjacent area to a width of 30' of the location of the proposed line and provide erosion control measures. Remove and transport old poles to Firing point 20 (FP20), where range will dispose of them, after new poles have been placed. All work must comply with National Electric Code (NEC) standards. The U.S.A.F. is requesting the following information from interested vendors: - Company name and contact information to include phone number and email - positive statement of your interest in this procurement as a prime contractor. - DUNS number and CAGE code. - business type (large business, small business, small disadvantaged business, 8(a)-certified small disadvantaged business, HUBZone small business, woman-owned small business, very small business, veteran-owned small business, service-disabled veteran-owned small business) based upon North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 237130.
