- Fire Plan Check List Fire Plan SCA WD Request for Quote SF1449 Form This is combined synopsis and solicitation seeking services for Fuel Reduction through mastication with an option of hand cut/pile for approcimately 160 acres located at the Cleveland National Forest, Descanso Ranger District to be performed in compliance to the contract terms, specifications and provisions. - Address: The project area is located within the boundaries of the Descanso Ranger District of the Cleveland National Forest., Unit 49, 51, 52 and 53 are approximately 90 acres combined. These Units are located in Pine Valley Community Township 15S, R4E, Section 25, 26, 35 and 36. Unit 37 approximately 70 acres of Mastication is located on Mount Laguna Township 15S, R5E, Section 24, 25 and 26., Units 49, 51, 52 and 53 are located adjacent to private property along the National Forest Boundary. In all mastication units the terrain is rough and broken, with a wide variety of slopes, along with occasional outcroppings of rock. Shrub types include Chamise, Ceanothus, Sagebrush, Manzanita, Scrub Oak, Red Shank, Buckwheat and other mixed Chaparral. Some units contain a very sparse shrub component, while in other units the shrub component is quite dense. Shrub height is generally less than 4-8 feet. All Units are located between 3,500 and 5,500 feet elevation., California, United States
